The Pixel Fold will launch later today, and Google mistakenly revealed it early in an unlisted YouTube ad. The name of the ad is ‘Google Pixel x NBA: The Greatest Watch Party’.
Google accidentally revealed the Pixel Fold early, via a YouTube ad
You can check out this ad below the article, as we’ve embedded it. It has a duration of over two minutes, and it gives us a great look at the Pixel Fold, from various angles.
This ad also features a number of NBA stars, and Google mistakenly shared this link in a tweet. It’s obvious Google did it on purpose, as it said “check back in tomorrow” in that same tweet. It seems as if Google wanted to tease the video, not actually share a link to it.
We not only see the phone from various angles here, but also the phone’s hinge in action. You also get to see the bezels, and the device placed on a desk and opened at a 90-degree angle.
This is only a continuation of Google and NBA partnership, which kicked off last year. We’ve seen a similar video released for the Pixel 7 back when it launched, in October last year.
The phone’s specs also surfaced
The Pixel Fold is tipped to feature 7.6 and 5.8-inch AMOLED displays. Both displays will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. The Google Tensor G2 is expected to fuel this phone, while the device will seemingly support both wired and wireless charging.
A new set of cameras is tipped for the device, they will differ from what the Pixel 7 series offers. Android 13 will come pre-installed on the device, while we’re expecting a number of foldable phone features too.
The Pixel Fold will become official later today, during the company’s Google I/O keynote. The event kicks off at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST / 7 PM CET / 6 PM BST, in case you’re interested. The Pixel 7a and Pixel Tablet will also debut during the event.
