Google just gave us a proper 360-degree look at the Pixel Watch 2 design, right before the launch event. As a reminder, the Pixel Watch 2 will arrive alongside the Pixel 8 series tomorrow, October 4.
Google shows us the Pixel Watch 2 design in its entirety prior to launch
Having said that, the company shared this animated GIF via X (formerly known as Twitter). You can see the tweet itself below, along with the aforementioned GIF. If some of you confuse this watch with the original Pixel Watch, well, we can’t blame you.
This is the one 2 watch.

Google seems to be sticking with the Pixel Watch design. The Pixel Watch 2 will, of course, bring improvements on the inside, and in the software department.
It will look like its predecessor
We’re here to talk about the design, though. Many people loved the design of the original Pixel Watch, so Google decided to stick with it. You’re still getting a minimalistic design here, with a circular display, and a rotating crown on the right.
That rotating crown will double as a physical menu button, and a secondary button will be included on the right side. Google is sticking with its proprietary connects for watch bands, unfortunately.
You can also check out the heart rate sensor on the bottom of the watch, as it’s shown in this animated image. The same goes for one of Google’s watch bands, a silicone one we’re familiar with.
Automatic workout tracking will be a part of the package
Now, one major addition to the Pixel Watch 2 will be automatic workout tracking. That is something the original lacked, and many people requested it, so… Google is adding it.
We’re also hoping that the second-gen product will offer considerably better battery life. The original Pixel Watch didn’t exactly shine in that department. The watch will also be waterproof, and it will be offered as a pre-order perk if you decide to get the Pixel 8 Pro.
