Just like with the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, the Pixel Watch 2 has leaked in so much at this point that there’s basically nothing left to be surprised about, and that’s even more true now thanks to leaked product page for the device. The leak comes from Kamila Wojciechowska who has been responsible for most of the high-profile and detailed leaks about Google’s upcoming devices.
With the Pixel Watch 2 Product page up in an unofficial capacity, anything you’d want to know about the watch is available for your consumption. For starters, the watch will have “a lighter, more refined design.” While using a new set of three advanced sensors for better insights into your wellness. The watch will also come with a new longer battery life. According to the leaked details the watch can now last for a full 24 hours on a single charge. Plus you only need to charge the watch for 80 minutes to get a full day of use
A noticeable improvement over the original Pixel Watch Google launched in 2022. Additionally, the watch now has emergency sharing and on-hand medical information.
The Pixel Watch 2 is packed with sensors
The sensors are (pun intended) at the heart of some of the Pixel Watch 2’s biggest improvements. Firstly, the all-new sensor is being paired with Google AI to make the heart rate tracking more accurate. And in Google’s words according to the product page, “Fitbit’s most accurate heart rate tracking.”
There’s also sensors for tracking your blood oxygen levels. As well as monitoring your skin temperature. And as mentioned in an earlier report, the Pixel Watch 2 is gaining automatic workout tracking. With the ability to start and pause workouts once the watch notices you’re engaging in that kind of activity. This is another big step up from the original Pixel Watch last year. As it’s a pretty common feature that was missing. Yet is present on most other smartwatches. Google’s Pixel Watch 2 will be officially revealed on October 4 at the company’s big Fall event.
