Garmin has finally upgraded its Connect IQ Store, allowing in-store payments using Garmin Pay. So far, it has been quite a hassle when it comes to buying watch faces and apps from the Connect IQ Store. It didn’t allow in-store purchases and offered a limited pool of applications.
Now, you can use Garmin Pay to buy watch faces and apps in the store. In addition, the company has added a handful of watch faces from Disney, Porsche, Nasa, and others. Besides, the Connect IQ Store now also has an app for GoPro devices.

Garmin’s Connect IQ Store has been available for some time. But, it has been criticized for not having a payment option for in-store purchases. It has been a tedious task to get apps from the Garmin Connect IQ Store. However, now buying watch faces and apps is easier thanks to the support for Garmin Pay purchases.
Users now have the convenience of buying directly through the app and their Garmin Pay account. The Garmin Connect IQ Store should now also attract more watch faces and apps from third-party developers. Previously, third-party app developers had to rely on user donations through third-party services like PayPal.
Connect IQ Store also gets premium watch faces from Disney, Porsche, and more
Alongside the native payment option, the Connect IQ Store is also getting premium watch faces from brands like Disney, Porsche, TaylorMade, and more. There are four Disney watch faces featuring Grogu, Tony Stark, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse. TaylorMade is also offering premium watch faces, each with unique features relevant to their audiences.
Furthermore, Garmin watch users can buy three premium Porsche watch faces. There’s one watch face that’s dedicated to the classic Porsche 917 Salzburg livery design. Besides, the Connect IQ Store now offers three space-themed watch faces from NASA. Notably, there’s an Ad Astra watch face, which boasts a collection of 24 images of NASA’s James Webb telescope, changing every day.
Lastly, Garmin’s Connect IQ Store now offers a dedicated GoPro Camera Control app. It allows users to start and stop recordings, take photos, and more on GoPro devices, directly from their Garmin smartwatches. The new GoPro app and premium watch faces are available for select smartwatches at a starting price of $4.99.
