Samsung's Android 15 beta program may finally start in September

Speculations surrounding the One UI 7 beta do not stop. Much has been said (and denied) around the next big update for Galaxy devices, including alleged start dates that were not met. Now, a new report claims that Samsung will begin its Android 15 beta program (One UI 7) in September. It also says that One UI 6.1.1 is already rolling out to the Galaxy A35.

Initially, the One UI 7 beta was expected to start in late July. However, the date was not met, and Galaxy users are still waiting for it. According to reports, Samsung indefinitely delayed the One UI 7 beta to focus on the rollout of One UI 6.1.1 to more phones. Currently, the latest stable update from the South Korean giant is only available on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.

That said, SamMobile claims the new start date for Samsung’s Android 15 beta program is September. So, if true, Galaxy users interested in signing up have a few weeks left to wait. Regardless, it’s best to take the leak with a grain of salt and not get too excited. After all, the One UI 7 beta date has been elusive, even to usually reliable tipsters.

Reports from July suggested that One UI 7 still had a lot of work ahead of it to be at least “usable.” That was in contrast to others who claimed it was coming soon. However, all things considered, it seems the former were right. Regarding One UI 6.1.1, SamMobile says that Samsung has started the rollout for the Galaxy A35 in South Korea. Interestingly, the screenshot attached to the report shows the update as One UI 6.1. However, the source insists that it is One UI 6.1.1, but “shown differently.”

Let’s hope the latest leak is true and Samsung finally starts its Android 15 beta program in September.
