HTC U Ultra Information:
The HTC U Ultra was announced in January 2017. HTC had decided to host a separate, post-CES event in order to announce the company’s new flagship. This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core SoC by Qualcomm, despite the fact many people presumed that it will ship with the Snapdragon 835. The HTC U Ultra packs in top of the line specifications, it’s made out of metal, it comes with a front-facing fingerprint scanner, and it also comes with some new HTC-made features, like the HTC Sense Companion, HTC’s all-new AI assistant.
The HTC U Ultra comes with a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) main display, while its secondary panel measures 2.05 inches. The phone also packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of expandable storage. The Adreno 530 GPU comes with the Snapdragon 821 SoC, and the device features a 3,000mAh battery as well. The 12-megapixel OIS camera is placed on the back of this smartphone, and Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the device with the company’s custom UI which is placed on top of Google’s SoC. Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging is also included in this package, in case you were wondering.

The HTC U Ultra is currently one of the most powerful devices on the market (January 2017), and even though Snapdragon 835-powered smartphone will start coming out soon, that statement still stands. HTC might be a bit late when it comes to releasing a Snapdragon 821-powered smartphone, but it’s an extremely powerful smartphone which comes with two displays, and a number of other, interesting features. If you’re in a market for an HTC-branded smartphone, and you don’t find the HTC U Ultra too expensive, well… it’s a great option, that’s for sure.
