Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Specifications

Samsung announced two new foldable smartphones today, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4. We’ve already talked about both of those, and it’s now time to focus on the specs. In this article, particularly, we’ll be talking about the Galaxy Z Fold 4 specifications.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 utilizes powerful specifications, led by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC

Needless to say, this year’s iteration of the company’s Z Fold devices is more powerful than last year. Samsung opted for the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which is Qualcomm’s most powerful chip to date. It sits a level above the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and offers better thermals and power consumption.

There are two displays on this phone, of course. The main display is a 7.6-inch QXGA+ (2176 x 1812) Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, and it supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The refresh rate is adaptive, it goes from 1 to 120Hz.

The second is a 6.2-inch HD+ (2316 x 904) Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, and this display also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. This panel’s refresh rate is also adaptive, but from 48 to 120Hz. Both of those displays are flat.

You’re getting 12GB of RAM here, and up to 1TB of storage

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 packs in 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB of flash storage. A 4,400mAh battery is also a part of the package, and it supports 25W wired, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging. Do note that a charger is not included in the box, though.

There are three cameras on the back of the device, and one camera on each display. A 50-megapixel main camera (wide-angle, f/1.8 aperture, OIS, Dual Pixel AF, 1.0um pixel size, 85-degree FoV) leads the pack. A 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 1.12um pixel size 123-degree FoV) is also included on the back. The third camera back there is a 10-megapixel telephoto unit (OIS, PDAF, f/2.4 aperture, 1.0um pixel size, 36-degree FoV).

There are also two front-facing cameras included. A 4-megapixel camera (f/1.8 aperture, 2.0um pixel size, 80-degree FoV) sits under the main display. A 10-megapixel unit (f/2.2 aperture, 1.22um pixel size, 85-degree FoV) is included on the outer screen (hole punch).

Android 12L comes pre-installed, while a side-facing fingerprint scanner is also included

Android 12L comes pre-installed on the Galaxy Z Fold 4, along with Samsung’s One UI 4.1.1. 5G is supported, and so is Bluetooth 5.2. The phone is IPX8 certified, and it has two Nano SIM card slots, in addition to an eSIM. A side-facing fingerprint scanner is also included.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes in Graygreen, Phantom Black, and Beige color variants, in addition to a Burgundy model, which is exclusive to Samsung.com. The phone measures 130.1 x 155.1 x 6.3mm when unfolded, and 67.1 x 155.1 x 15.8mm when folded. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 weighs 263 grams.
