Google's Best Smartphone yet, now in two sizes!

The Google Pixel 9 Pro was released in October 2023. It is a flagship smartphone that embodies Google's commitment to cutting-edge technology and refined design. Starting at $999, the Pixel 9 Pro offers a premium mobile experience with its impressive camera system. It also offers powerful performance, and unique software features. The Pixel 9 Pro XL offers the same experience in a larger size of 6.8 inches.

At its core, the Pixel 9 Pro boasts Google's Tensor G4 processor. It is designed to optimize AI-powered features and deliver a smooth, responsive user experience. This translates to seamless multitasking, fast app loading, and impressive gaming capabilities. The device also features a vibrant 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing stunning visuals and fluid scrolling. At the same time, the Pixel 9 Pro XL features a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Perhaps the most celebrated aspect of the Pixel 9 Pro is its camera system. Equipped with a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultrawide lens, it captures stunning images with incredible detail and clarity. Google's renowned computational photography algorithms further enhance the camera's capabilities. It enables features like Magic Eraser (to remove unwanted objects from photos), Photo Unblur (to sharpen blurry images), and Super Res Zoom (for high-quality zoomed-in shots).

Beyond its hardware prowess, the Pixel 9 Pro offers a software experience that's deeply integrated with Google's services. This includes features like Call Screen (to filter out spam calls), Live Translate (for real-time translation of conversations), and Hold for Me (which allows Google Assistant to wait on hold for you). With its blend of powerful hardware, innovative software, and a sleek design, the Google Pixel 9 Pro stands as a testament to Google's vision for the future of smartphones.

Google Pixel 9 Pro (XL) Case
This is Google's official case, available for all Pixel 9 models. This is a silicon case that comes in six different colors – Obsidian, Porcelain, Hazel, Rose Quartz, Wintergreen and Peony. Protect your Pixel 9 Pro in style.
    Google Pixel Watch 3
Google's third-generation Pixel Watch is now available in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm. It's the perfect compliment to your Google Pixel 9 Pro or Pixel 9 Pro XL, with extended battery life, brighter displays and snappier performance.
    Google Pixel Buds Pro 2
Outfit your new Google Pixel 9 Pro or Pixel 9 Pro XL with the earbuds that work the best with it – Google Pixel Buds Pro 2. These offer up ANC, with up to 30 hours of listening, and have a IPX4 water resistance rating.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro starts at $999 for 128GB of storage. It goes up to $1,099 for 256GB, $1,219 for 512GB, and 1TB is $1,449. Meanwhile the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL starts at $1,099 for 128GB of storage. The 256GB option is $1,199, 512GB for $1,319, and 1TB for $1,549.
So far, in our testing, the battery life seems to be very similar on both models. Despite the Pixel 9 Pro XL having a larger display and battery, it's still very comparable.
Google is promsing updates for 7 years. This includes Feature Drops, OS updates and Security updates. Meaning that you will be getting updates until August 2031.
Google says that they worked hard to optimize the Tensor G4, and especially focused on pain points of apps taking a while to open and load. In our testing, we've found that it is definitely about 20-30% faster than the Tensor G3, matching Google's claims.
That is entirely up to you. While there is a big change in design this year, the phones aren't a huge upgrade over the Pixel 8 series. Though there are plenty of great AI features available, and the newer processor will really improve how those features work.
