Oh, how I love coffee. No, seriously, I LOVE coffee. I have a number of different machines around the house, I put together my own blends at times and I have more than one coffee grinder. I always quite enjoy Angry Birds so, naturally, putting the two thing would have come to my mind at some point? Nope, it’s not once crossed my mind but it certainly struck a chord with the Finns. Now, I’ve never been to Finland but, everyone knows that it’s cold, some might not realise just how brutal their winters can be. My father has been to Finland and he would tell me of how everybody everywhere was drinking coffee. This is of course true as Finland drink the most coffee per capita than anywhere else in the world. One of the biggest coffee brands over in Finland, Paulig, got together with Rovio to make some brilliant coffee.
There are two type of Angry Birds coffee that Paulig will be bringing out: Early Bird Coffee and Explosive Espresso. The Early Bird is comprised of nothing but Arabica originating from Brazil, Columbia and Africa, whilst the Explosive Espresso will be a blend of Brazilian and Columbian beans with some Robusta from India thrown in. Well, you have to take your hat off to Rovio, licensing like this is always pretty lucrative, let’s just hope they can forge these partnerships without losing it’s soul. I would love to get my hands on some of this, it’d make waking up a little more fun, now if someone can find me an Angry Birds espresso machine…
