Seeing several different phones from a manufacturer in a short period of time isn’t too surprising. However, we’re not exactly sure what’s going on over at Samsung or if, in fact, this is just some hoax by some pranksters.
The Samsung Galaxy Premier has popped up a number of times with leaked photos and benchmarks. Okay, that’s not too surprising considering that’s how many upcoming devices are found. However, there’s one problem: The Galaxy Premier looks like the Galaxy S III, has a slightly smaller, 4.65 inch display, and isn’t the Galaxy S III Mini. Say whaaat?
However, it’s been said that this could be the Galaxy Nexus 2. At this point, nobody has any clue, but @evleaks on Twitter is apparently having a go at the phone after releasing photo of it. The Premier has a 4.65 inch display at 800 x 480, 1.5GHZ dual-core processor, improved 8 megapixel camera, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and it’s coming in December.
Yeah. We’re not so sure about the whole thing as it really makes no sense. Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S III Mini and the idea of having a “meh” phone in between, just seems like a bad move altogether and will just cheapen the Galaxy S III line.
Considering that the Galaxy Premier looks almost identical to the Galaxy S III (screen just 0.15 inches smaller), Samsung would have to seriously be smoking something if they think that consumers won’t get confused by the two devices. What do you think? Is this Premier phone legit or is it a hoax?
