Here we are, it’s a new year and Ingress is still closed beta. Not surprising, but many people have lost interest in the game. But there are still many people waiting for an invite. And we’ve just gotten another handful of invites to giveaway to our readers. And for those of you that may think we don’t have invites, check out the screenshot below, that is an invite from Niantic labs, with the code blacked out.
Ingress is a new, highly-addicted game. In fact I spent a good 4 hours last night wondering around downtown Detroit with 4 other people taking out the Enlightened’s portals. It was pretty fun, and very cold. Ingress is an augmented reality game that also uses GPS. Now if you have a Droid Razr Maxx HD or a Note 2, you’ll have plenty of fun with this game since it uses a ton of battery.
