We have been seeing quite a lot of news coming out in recent days as more people (at least in Japan) start to get their hands on the Sony Xperia Z a little earlier than the rest of us. We have already seen an awesome burst mode camera performance video earlier today and now we have battery test results coming in.
This is the first screen shot of battery test results that we have seen in the wild for the Sony Xperia Z and suggests that the non-removable 2330 mAh battery packs quite the juice for its size.
Since back in January when the Xperia Z stole the show at the Consumer Electronics Show, we have seen hoards of news and videos coming out surrounding the roll out of the device around the world. We have seen a comparison of the Xperia Z to the HTC Butterfly as well, and it looks like this device might just stack up quite well to the competition. We are also seeing some early accessories and update talk already (though Jelly Bean should be a given), that suggest Sony may be ready to support this device quite well.
The Xperia Z has been released now in Japan, so we look forward to seeing much more hands-on action with this gadget. We are also excited for some more in-depth benchmarks that will show us just how this bad-boy from Sony stacks up to the releases from the other manufacturers this quarter. The Xperia Z is potentially up against some stiff competition with the likes of the HTC One/M7 , the Samsung Galaxy SIV, and the Optimus G Pro from LG but competition between Android phones is what we live for here at AndroidHeadlines.Com and you can bet that we will be weighing in how Sony’s latest flagship stacks up against the lot.
While the Xperia Z launched two days ago in Japan, pre-orders are available in the UK where we are looking at a February 28th release with no word on when the device will be rolling out in the United States. What do you think? With all this new knowledge of the Xperia Z’s performance and prowess, will you be picking one up when it hits shelves in your neck of the woods?
