Pre-Orders For AT&T and U.S. Cellular Galaxy S 4 Variants Are Live

Samsung finally took the wraps off its latest Android flagship last month, and since then, speculation has been swirling as to when we’ll see variants rolling out here in the United States. With previous Galaxy S models, Americans have often had a much longer wait than their Europe counterparts. But, this time around, it looks as if the gap between the two launches will be much smaller. It also looks like Samsung may be able to beat the HTC One to market on some carriers, which will give it a huge advantage.

Just moments ago, the highly anticipated Galaxy S 4 went up for pre-order on two United States carriers. If you’re on AT&T or U.S. Cellular, and have been holding out for the Galaxy S 4, then here is your shot. AT&T users have the option to choose either a Black Mist model or White Frost model, and the same goes for U.S. Cellular customers. Both carriers are only offering the 16GB variant and the device is running $199.99 with a new two-year agreement from both companies. U.S. Cellular users have a slight advantage, though, as the carrier is offering a free S View Flip Cover with any order. For those unfamiliar with the S View cover, it allows you to access important information without having to flip the device open. Whether or not that will be useful remains to be seen, but hey, at least you to try it for free!

For those unfamiliar with the device, the Galaxy S 4 is packing some pretty solid specs:

  •  5-inch 1080p displayHD Super AMOLED Display 440PPI
  • 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon Processor S4 Pro
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 16GB/32GB/64GB internal storage; Expandable via MicroSD card up to 64GB
  • 13MP camera on the back, 2MP on the front
  • 4G LTE: Cat 3 100/50mbps (up to hexa band)
  • Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • IR LED (remote control like in the HTC One)
  • MHL 2.0
  • 2600mAh battery
  • Android 4.2.2 – Jelly Bean
  • Available in White Frost and Black Mist
  • Dimensions: 69.8mm x 136.6mm x 7.9mm
  • Weighs 130g

Both carriers say the device will ship on April 30th, which means most customers should get their device in the first week of May. Will you be pre-ordering? Let us know down in the comments!
