Google has just dropped the price on the Nexus 4 (manufactured by LG) to $199 for the 8GB and $249 for the 16GB. Man those are some great prices for the Nexus 4. Not that the $299 and $349 for the Nexus 4 at launch were overpriced or anything. But you know what this price drop means, new Nexus phone coming soon!
The Nexus 4 features a 1280×768 4.7-inch display along with a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5GHz, with 2GB of RAM, a 2100mAh battery and 8GB or 16GB internal storage depending on which model you choose. It’s also running Android 4.3, similar to the Nexus 7 (2013). Currently it’s showing as in stock and shipping in 1-2 business days from Google Play.
So what does this price drop mean? Well it could mean nothing, but we’re pretty sure it means that the new Nexus, possibly the Nexus 5, is on its way soon. We already heard that the new Nexus 4 or Nexus 5 and the new Nexus 10 is on its way in October, which is about 6 weeks away. So hopefully we’ll see some rumors soon and the new Nexus coming out very soon. I don’t know about the rest of our Nexus 4 users, but I’m starting to get bored of my Nexus 4, but that could also be the fact that I get to use all these other great phones every day like the HTC One, Galaxy S4 and Moto X.
If you’re looking for a great device, and you can wait, I’d say you should wait until October to see what Google has in store for us. But if you need a phone ASAP, then the Nexus 4 for $200 is a great choice. If not the best choice. Considering, it’s almost impossible to get another flagship device for the same price, unless you want to get a used one from Swappa.
How many of you are going to pick up a Nexus 4 now that it’s $199 instead of $299? Let us know in the comments down below.
