Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 Launches on AT&T for $149.99 on Contract

Today, is like Christmas if you’re an AT&T customer. Not only does AT&T have the Moto X launching. But they have also launched the HTC One Mini and the Galaxy Mega 6.3. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 is a 6.3-inch 720p TFT LCD display or course, as the name points too. It’s also sporting mid to high end internals with a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. Along with 1GB of RAM, a 3200mAh battery inside. It’s also sporting Android 4.2.2 and their Touchwiz UI. It’s pretty similar to the Galaxy S4, as far as software goes, but it is missing a few features.

AT&T is offering the Galaxy Mega 6.3 in dark blue with 16GB of internal storage. Which unlike the Galaxy S4, it actually has about 11GB of usable storage out of the box. I did get a review unit in today for the Galaxy Mega 6.3 so you can look forward to my first impressions later tonight and a full review sometime next week when we actually can put it through all of its paces. So far, it’s a really great phone, even though it’s huge (insert “that’s what she said joke”).

So if you like the Galaxy Note 2’s size, and can live without the S Pen, this is probably the device for you. It’s a big device, with small-ish bezels and is pretty cheap on contract. Just from the little time I’ve been using it, I really like it. Compared to the 6.1-inch Ascend Mate, it’s much nicer to hold.

We’ll be bringing you plenty of coverage on the Galaxy Mega 6.3 over the weekend and into next week. So make sure you stay tuned to Android Headlines for all the latest coverage. Just think of the Galaxy Mega 6.3 as a huge Galaxy Note 2 without the S Pen. Not to mention the battery life. If you like a big display and crazy battery life, this is the one for you.
