Two of the phones we’ve been covering extensively over the past couple of weeks are the LG G2 and the Moto X. So it only seems fitting that we go ahead and do a phone war comparing the two to each other. I even did a video comparing the two of them, which you can see here. The LG G2 is packed with tons of high-end specs you’ll love, but with an interface that not everyone will love. While the Moto X is packing what most call “mid range” specs, it’s still very smooth and can definitely handle anything you throw at it. It also has almost a stock Android interface, which makes it very nice to use.
Specifications
Moto X
The Moto X is one of my favorite devices to come out this year. Instead of being the typical device with crazy specs and a feature list larger than the phone itself. Motorola decided to use a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and optimize the crap out of it. Literally. I’ve been using the Moto X for about a week, after using the G2 for a week and can honestly say I feel they perform pretty great. The Moto X does have a few other features that are nice to have like Touchless Control. Which means the device is always listening. So you can say things like “OK Google Now….Play Blurred Lines” and it will automatically start playing from Google Play Music, or another music player on your phone. Then there’s Active Display. Which is an amazing feature. Those that don’t like it, haven’t used it yet. Instead of a notification light, your screen lights up to show your notifications and time. But only some of the pixels light up.

LG G2
As far as the G2 is concerned, LG went out and got the best of everything and threw it into one phone. The G2 has some ultra thin bezels, and also has the buttons on the back, which is something we haven’t seen before. In addition to having a Snapdragon 800, LG also threw in some great features like Q Slide, Slide Aside and Knock Knock. Knock is my personal favorite. It allows you to double tap your display to turn the phone on or off. Instead of using the back power button. Because of this, many G2 owners never use the buttons on the back. I know I only used them like once or twice.

The Winner Is….
For most people it’ll be the LG G2, purely because of the specs. Even though the Moto X is just as powerful and smooth, without a hint of lag, like the G2 most people can’t see past that unfortunately. I wish more people would give the Moto X a try, I’m sure everyone would love it. Especially the battery life.
