HTC unveiled the HTC One 4G LTE in Taiwan not too long ago. Now they’ve unveiled the Butterfly S 4G LTE in Taiwan. For those that have forgotten about the Butterfly, that was the international name of the DROID DNA. Of course, the Butterfly S is the 2013 variant of the Butterfly family. This evening (or I guess morning in Taiwan), HTC made the Butterfly S 4G LTE official. They also included a new color, Rose Pink. The price of the Butterfly S 4G LTE is said to be about TW$21,900. And it’s available starting today.
Now there are two Butterfly S models on the market. There’s the 3G and 4G LTE models. They are identical except for the 4G LTE logo on the back of the new Butterfly S 4G LTE. As far as specs go, they are both virtually the same. Sporting a 5-inch FHD display (that’s 1920×1080 Super LCD), Snapdragon 600, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and the Ultrapixel camera. It’s also got Beats Audio, HTC Boomsound and a microSD card slot. Glad to see it’s got my favorite feature in tow, Boomsound. Although it does say it has Beats Audio inside. Which is surprising since Beats dropped HTC a few months ago, and it was taken out of the HTC One Max.
It appears, HTC took a page out of Samsung’s book here. Launching a new version of a device they launched earlier this year, that is 4G LTE capable for their home country. Can’t say it’s a bad thing, as everyone loves some 4G LTE, am I right? The Butterfly S 4G LTE is available in black, white, red and Pink. Although I really like the Red one. I think a black one with red accents would be even better, like what the DROID DNA on Verizon looked like. Man that was a sexy phone, come to think of it. I wish the Butterfly S made it to the US. I’m sure it’d do pretty well over here.
