Staples Website No Longer Carrying The Nexus 10

The Nexus 10 tablet has been unavailable from the Play Store for some time now in the 16GB version, but as of today it has also gone missing from Staples.com. This by no means points to any signs of a new Nexus 10 coming our way, but it certainly is interesting that it should start disappearing from other online retailers. If you hit the jump to the URL where the Nexus 10 used to be found on the website, it now only goes to the main tablet page. If you do a dedicated search, all you get are results for the four Nexus 7 variants that are available, along with some accessories. Most likely, Staples has just run out of stock and that is why we’re seeing only accessories and other tablets. We know that some people will want to take this news and run with it, stating that this surely means a new Nexus 10 is on the way. Keep in mind though that out of all the rumors and speculations, nothing to date has had any solid evidence to back the claims. Not to mention you can still purchase the 32GB Nexus 10 from Google Play. When a new version is truly on the way and close to being ready for prime time, we will probably see the nexus 10 leave the Play Store “Device” section completely. Until then, it’s safe to go on assuming that the successor to the current nexus 10 tablet is still quite a ways off. If you were someone that was hoping to pick up the Nexus 10 from Staples, you’ll just have to settle for the larger storage option straight from Google instead. Of course Staples has plenty of other tablet options for you if you’re in the market for something smaller or something that isn’t a Nexus.

Although there is nothing really concrete to support the fact that a new Nexus 10 or Nexus 10 2 is on the way, this isn’t going to stop the flood of rumors we will undoubtedly see in the next couple of days as Walmart is slashing their prices on all the Nexus tablets that they offer. Once again, this most likely means that Walmart is just trying to push through their leftover stock of the 10 inch tablet and nothing else. If you own a current gen Nexus 10 tablet and are still running Jelly Bean, you can download the update to Kit Kat install it yourself.
