Samsung is at it again, and this time they are going south, well south-west, actually they are going to SXSW. Who are they bringing with them to the event? Well the better question is how can you get into the event. Reports are saying that Samsung has sponsored a one night only event, starring Jay-Z and Kanye West. The two will be re-imagining the days of the Watch the Throne tour for one night during SXSW. If you are haven’t heard of SXSW, it is a festival in Austin Texas, with the theme being music, movies and interactive. The event lasts for days, and people who attend the event usually leave with great memories and a smile on their face.
One of those nights during the event, more specifically, on March 12 2014,Samsung has invited Jay-Z and Kanye to perform exclusively for owners of a Samsung smart phone. Taking it even a step further, you must have the Milk Music app installed on your Samsung device in order to gain entry. If you do have a Samsung Galaxy smart phone, and Milk Music installed on it, than there is only one way to get a ticket. You need to be at the Samsung Galaxy Experience, at 10:00 AM C.T., on 333 E. 2nd Street. Tickets will come in the form of wristbands and only given out while supplies last, meaning if you are at SXSW, you need to be at the above address early. This is so exclusive, that the details of where the event will be held, is currently unknown, and will only be announced on the day of the concert.
This isn’t the first time that Samsung has teamed up with Jay-Z for a publicity stunt. They also teamed up to give away copies of Jay-Z’s Album, Magna Carta Holy Grail in 2013. The team gave away about 1 million copies of the album, which Samsung paid $5 each to make happen. However, Jay-Z and Kanye aren’t the only ones performing under Samsung’s name. Other artists include Janelle Monae and Gary Clark Jr. on Thursday, Broken Bells on Friday and Holy Ghost and Cut Copy on Saturday. Are you attending SXSW,and are you planning on getting into the Jay-Z, Kanye West concert? We are sure Samsung would love for you to take pictures and show off your Galaxy device using any social media outlets possible.
