LG G3 Mini Headed for AT&T Appears in Leaked Documents

We’ve been hearing rumors about the G3 for quite some time now and they’re only heating up. It’s shaping up to be a pretty big deal already, with what sounds like a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 display and possibly a Snapdragon 805 running the show. Still, with the device at least a couple of months or so away from now, all of this is rumor for now, and we’re not entirely sure what LG have in store for us. Not too long ago, the company released a “Mini” version of the G2, which didn’t push the boundaries on specs like its bigger brother did, but it did deliver the majority of the G2 experience. Now it looks very much like a G3 Mini will be hitting the market later this year as well.

Thanks to database entries found on the AT&T website, the G3 Mini has been spotted with a model number of D725 which was found next to “B2MINI_ATT” in the database entry. The B2 has long been thought to be the codename for the G3, so a Mini version of the device can only mean one thing. The device is apparently to feature a 720p display as well as an 8-megapixel camera. Other than that however, internal specs and display size are unknown, but the word is that this is to be a 4.7-inch device. Which is hardly “Mini”, but considering LG is winning the war on bezels, the overall physical size might not be that large.

The G3 Mini is said to be running Android 4.4.2 and we’re not really expecting to see this until a little later than the G3 itself, which is expected to hit this Summer. Last year, we saw LG release the G2 and little else when it comes to flagships or high-end models, but if the G3 Mini features some decent specs, LG would be able to offer devices to a lot more potential customers. Right now though, we’ve still got a fair amount of waiting to do before we see either the G3 or its smaller brother hit the scene.
