Sony Xperia T3 Gets 'In The Wild' Treatment and Video

Earlier we reported that Sony has launched a new mid range Xperia device called the Sony Xperia T3. The device looks very similar to any other Xperia device, however there are a few things that set this device apart from the rest. Though we did show you some press shots of the device, thanks to a Russian mobile review site, we now have a short video and in the wild images.

The Sony Xperia T3 may look very similar to any other Xperia device released by Sony, however the T3 is possibly the thinnest mid range device to come from a name brand like Sony. Featuring a 5.3-inch 720P display and only 7mm thick which is surprisingly the same rumored thickness of the Xperia Z3. Crammed inside this extremely thin device is a quad-core 1.4 GHz CPU and what looks to be 1GB of RAM. It has been unconfirmed, but we expect it to have 8GB of expandable storage. Also inside will be a 2,500mAh battery, which should suffice for most people on a daily basis.

Initially we thought the T3 would be made with an aluminum body, but new reports suggest that may not be the case. Instead, it may have a matte plastic backplate and a stainless steal framing. Still, this device is sure to feel like a premium device even with mid range specs. The camera will have a dedicated button and be an 8MP camera with a Sony Exmor RS sensor. From the images below you can see that it does have a Micro SD card slot with the long flap that covers it. We can also see that the power, volume and camera button are located on the right side, and the charging port can be found on the left. The video may have more info, however it happens to be in Russian.

The video is a little over 7 minutes long, and shows different angles of viewing as well as plenty more. Based off the video, you will notice that viewing angles seem superb, and the display-even at 720P- is a great display. The rest of the images compare the T3’s size to other Xperia devices, the iPhone, and the Nexus 5. What we can’t see in the images is the price tag.

When Sony launched this device, they left out any details in regards to launch dates or pricing. It is also unclear where this device will be available to purchase, and which carriers will get it-if launched in the US. Sony still has the Xperia Z3 to launch which is rumored for an August release date. Are you interested in the Xperia T3, or are you still holding out for the Xperia Z3?
