If you get on Google right now and type in “Nexus 6 Concepts” you will come across hundreds of designs made by designers from around the world. Some concepts look like renders of the current Nexus 5 while others have been re-imagined. Now when you’re looking through these images, the thought comes to mind, “Will Google ever use one of these concepts?,” because a lot of them look like Google will unveil such a device. After rumors of HTC creating the next Nexus device, many designers have taken aspects of the HTC One and blended them in with a “Google styled” device. An example of that type of concept comes from designer Dmitry Stvolov, who has imagined what a Nexus 6 may look like from HTC.
At first glance, you would think you are looking at the HTC One with the large Boom Sound speakers on the front and the wide angle front facing camera. The concept has a very clean aesthetic with a thin bezel on the side of the device, much like the Nexus 5. The corners of the concept are rounded off and from the looks of it, there aren’t any buttons. The concept looks like a Nexus 5 and HTC One crossover. On the back of the concept renders you can see how the back plate is rounded and there is a dual LED flash with a huge lens camera. The texture of the device looks as if it could be black matte or maybe some type of metal like the HTC One. Taking a look at the entire body, you can see that the edges are rounded off which give the concept a much smoother and sleeker body.
The designer hasn’t provided any specs but as you can see, the Nexus 6 concept is running Google’s soon to come Android L software build. We can also expect maybe a Snapdragon 64 bit processor inside and maybe a 5 inch display, 5.1 if you’re the type to round up. The design concept by Dmitry Stvolov is beautiful and consumer worthy. Whether Google and HTC design a phone similar to this one is up to them, but the concept is flawless and beautiful. Let us know what you think about the Nexus 6 concept in the comments below.
