Users on AT&T who are looking for a great option for a mid-range level device may be in luck. AT&T announced on their blog that they will be releasing the HTC Desire 610.
The HTC Desire 610 is a mid-range offering by HTC, and as we’ve seen a device from this line in the US, the name is usually changed to something else. This time however, AT&T has called the device by the original name-the Desire 610. With Boomsound front facing speakers, and the front facing camera in the same location the Desire 610 takes some great qualities of the One M8 and packages it in a more affordable plastic body. The specs of the Desire 610 include a 4.7-inch display, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The Desire 610 will be running Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box, and has plenty of features that are also found on the HTC One M8.
The Desire 610 will come with HTC Sense 6.0, which means HTC’s BlinkFeed will be available. BlinkFeed is HTC’s way of keeping your news and friends at your fingertips. Another feature with HTC’s Sense is the Zoe. A Zoe allows you to take a short video along with the picture. According to HTC, this is meant to help you catch a moment and not just a picture. You can also use Zoe to edit photos and videos, adding music and making it a virtual story of the moment you wanted to capture.
As for Pricing, the Desire 610 on AT&T will be available for $199.99 with “no annual commitment pricing.” If users on AT&T use AT&T Next to get the device, it will cost only $8.34 per month. This is the pricing for postpaid customers, though the device will be available for AT&T GoPhone customers as well. GoPhone users can get the Desire 610 for $199.99 as well however that will be the only pricing option. The Desire 610 will be released both online and in store on July 25th to order, shipping if bought online will surely begin the same day as well.
