EE Is Going To Offer Galaxy Alpha With 4G Plans Only

Samsung finally unveiled its premium built Galaxy Alpha smartphone a few days ago. The device which sports a metallic trim and a rather compact body. This phone comes with a 4.7-inch 720p (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is not expandable via MicroSD card, this is kind of odd for Samsung though. On the back of the device Samsung decided to use a 12-megapixel camera while there’s a 2.1-megapixel shooter on the front of the device. Latest iteration of Google’s OS will come pre-installed, Android 4.4.4 KitKat and the device will be available next month, in September. Samsung will launch two versions of the device, as usual when it comes to their high-end offerings, one will carry Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 CPU while the other one will come with Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa 5430 SoC and it measures only 6.7mm in thickness.

EE, the UK’s largest network, announced recently that they will carry Samsung’s Galaxy Alpha device and that it will be available for pre-order soon. “EE’s superfast 4G network is the perfect partner for Samsung’s new flagship device. With powerful performance and a real emphasis on design, Samsung has developed a great new handset that seamlessly combines style and substance. Add the biggest and fastest 4G network in the UK and you have a smartphone that ticks all the boxes.” said EE’s Head of Device Portfolio, Nicola Shenton. We knew that the device will be available on their 4GEE and 4GEE Extra plans, however new statement from the company says that it will be available on those 4G plans only.

If you do decide to get the device on either of these plans you’ll be entitled to the following benefits: Inclusive roaming calls and texts in select international destinations (4GEE Extra plan only), 2 for 1 cinema tickets with EE Film, Exclusive discounts on EE’s superfast Fibre Broadband, so customers can enjoy blistering speeds in the home as well as on-the-move and inclusive unlimited calls to 080 numbers (4GEE Extra plan only). Pricing, availability and pre-order will be announced soon, says EE.
