We’ve already informed you that EE, the largest UK network, will offer Samsung’s premium built Galaxy Alpha smartphone earlier this month. EE sent us some new details along with already known information when it comes to this. Pre-orders will start from August 28 and the device will be available from EE stores, telesales and via EE’s online shop. Please note that the device will be offered on 4G plans only though. There’s a range of EE and EE Extra plans at your disposal with which you get UK’s fastest 4G speeds. Mentioned benefits include inclusive roaming calls and texts in some select international destinations (4G Extra only) along with 2 for 1 cinema tickets with EE Film and exclusive discounts on EE’s superfast Fibre Broadband. Other benefits include Inclusive unlimited calls to 080 numbers (4G Extra only) and three months free Now TV with six months free Deezer and 12 months free access to fitness app for Endomondo as part of Samsung content promotion. As a side note, EE’s 4G is currently available in 250 major towns and cities all over UK as well as over 2,500 smaller towns and villages and covers 73% of its population according to EE.
Just to remind you, Samsung introduced Galaxy Alpha smartphone earlier this month. The device is sporting a 4.7-inch 720p (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of non-expandable internal storage. Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa 5430 processor (quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A15 and quad-core 1.3 GHz) can be found inside along with Mali-T628 MP6 GPU. 12-megapixel camera is located at the back of this device while there’s a 2.1-megapixel shooter on the front. Fingerprint scanner along with the usual array of sensors can also be found on this device as well as Android 4.4.2 OS with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of it. 1860mAh battery is taking care of powering the device.
I don’t know how many people will be interested in what EE has to offer or the device itself, but it’s there if you want to grab it and use one of EE’s 4G plans. As mentioned above, pre-orders will start on August 28, so note the date if you’re interested.
