Huawei Glory 6 Plus Will Launch December 18th In China

Huawei has been a rather often topic in the news lately, company’s roadmap for 2015 leaked recently, showing off some really great devices we can expect in 2015. Most notable device on that list was Huawei D8, which will allegedly sport a 5.5-inch 2K display, 4GB of RAM and will be powered by a yet unannounced HiSilicon Kirin 950 64-bit processor. Ascend Mate 8 and Ascend P8 were also mentioned, all in all, 2015 could be a really interesting year for this Chinese smartphone manufacturer.

The device we’ll pay most attention today is the handset we’ve been talking about a lot lately. Huawei Glory 6 Plus has been certified by TENAA (China’e equivalent of the FCC) earlier this month, though it was called Glory 6X back then. Yesterday we learned that the device will actually be called Glory 6 Plus thanks to Huawei’s teaser images. We weren’t all that sure when will this handset launch, we were guessing December 17th or 18th, but according to the latest information coming from China, the device’s launch date is December 16th. This could also be Huawei’s latest smartphone offering this year, we didn’t get any information about a second device this Chinese OEM plans to release by the end of this year. Either way, let’s check out Glory 6 Plus’ specs.

This device is expected to sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Glory 6 Plus will be powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core processor and will ship with a dual 8-megapixel cameras on the back of the device, which will be used for 3D capture or some sort of a refocus feature. Android 4.4 KitKat will ship with this device with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top of it. The device will quite probably support 4G LTE connectivity, though that wasn’t mentioned by TENAA listing. Huawei Glory 6 Plus will measure 150.46 — 75.68 — 7.5mm and it will weight 165 grams.

Huawei is really stepping up its game lately. Huawei Ascend Mate 7 was a great device and the company has also significantly improved its Emotion UI skin, making it rather sleek and most importantly, functional. The launch of Glory 6 Plus is near, let’s see if all this information will pan out in the end.
