Huawei will announce company’s newest Kirin processor tomorrow, which is the main topic when it comes to this Chinese OEM. It seems like the company is getting ready to launch a new handset as well. Huawei Che2-TL00 smartphone has been certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent of the FCC) and is on its way to Chinese smartphone market. Let me remind you that this handset was also listed earlier, but it seems like it’s carrying different bands now. According to the listing, this handset will feature Huawei’s Kirin 620 octa-core processor (A53 architecture), which might actually be the SoC Huawei will release tomorrow. This is the equivalent of the Snapdragon 410 in a way, though we’re talking about na octa-core chip here, not the quad-core one. Both of these processors are 64-bit though and that’s the main point here.
As for the listing itself and listed specifications. This handset will sport a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 1GB of RAM and will be powered by the aforementioned Kirin 620 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. This handset will also feature 8GB of internal storage, which you’ll be able to expand via MicroSD card up to 32GB. This handset will be available in White and Black color options and will measure 152.9 — 77.3 — 8.65mm and will weight 170 grams.
We didn’t get much more information regarding the device itself from TENAA, but this will be your regular mid-range handset, though it will come with a 64-bit chip. I doubt we’ll see this launched outside of Asia though, but who knows, I doubt Huawei will launch this handset tomorrow alongside the Kirin SoC considering they have teased the SoC alone, no handset or anything of the sort, but again, who knows. Huawei does have big plans for next year though, the company is certainly on the right path. We’ve recently seen a leaked roadmap of Huawei’s devices which seemed rather legit, although that’s not official information, of course. Ascend Mate 8 and D8 are definitely something to pay attention to, the D8 handset definitely looks like a flagship material and it probably will be.
