Mobile World Congress is coming up rather quickly, and as such so is HTC’s event on March 1st where they’re expected to unveil the HTC One M9 as well as possibly the HTC One M9 Plus,(or the HTC One Max 2). Over the last week there have been a few leaks that have shown up of what is thought to be the new design of the HTC One M9, and last night one of those same leaks was expanded upon by showing off what is being suggested as the specs for HTC’s successor to the HTC One M8. Upleaks, the person behind that series of leaks has just posted another leak today showing off what may be the specs for the HTC One M9 plus(name not officially known), and they look fairly close to those of the alleged specs on the M9, save for a few upgrades.
According to the details here, the HTC One M9 Plus will come with a 5.2-inch WQHD display, so not too much larger than that of the HTC One M9 set at 5-inches if those specs were correct, although if these are correct as well the resolution will be higher as the HTC One M9 is only listed with a resolution of Full HD. For the rest of the specs, the leak shows the HTC One M9 Plus as coming equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor which is the same as the rumored processor for the HTC One M9. Upleaks also lists a front located fingerprint sensor, 3GB of DDR4 RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot for expandable storage. VoLTE support and LTE Cat 6 support, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with Sense 7 UI, a front facing camera set at 4MP or 13MP, a 20.7MP rear facing camera(the same as the rumored camera for the HTC One M9)Bluetooth 4.1, Boom Sound stereo speakers, and a 2,840mAh battery.
The leak also lists the device will come with a MediaTek processor for other regions,(the U.S. will be getting the Snapdragon 810 model according to the leak)which is bound for release in China, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. It is also listed as coming in three different colors, (the same as listed in yesterday’s leak about the HTC One M9)with a gunmetal model front and back, a model gold on the front and silver on the back, and a model that is gold on the front and back. Keep in mind that these specs are just a leak at the moment so nothing is confirmed, but MWC is only a couple of days away so HTC might officially announce the details soon, which is expected with their tweet from earlier in the week teasing that “something HUGE is coming.”
