theScore Updates with Material Design Today

theScore just released the most subtle Material Design update ever. While they didn’t really change how the app looked or behaved, they still added Material Design to theScore’s list of advantages over other sports apps. theScore has been one of my favorites sports apps for quite a while. Not only for the user experience but all the data and information it provides. It’s still a pretty dark looking app, but it’s even smoother than it was before. Which is actually a bit of a surprise because it was so smooth beforehand. The update is in the Play Store now, and if you are a big fan sports, than this is an app you’ve got to try it.

theScore features the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, and a ton of other sports in their app. You can get complete scores, news, standings and everything else you could ever want. Another feature that they have and do really well is if you tap on a player, it will show you all the news concerning them. So for instance if you tap on Lebron James, it’ll show you the news regarding his injury earlier this year and all kinds of other content. Which is really sweet. theScore doesn’t just syndicate content from other sources either. They actually have their own staff writing content for the app and their site. So it’s not like you’re getting ESPN’s content in theScore’s app. Which I think is a big deal as well.

So we’ve got yet another Material Design app on the list. theScore is a really great app that I don’t think a lot of people know about. So go ahead and check it out on the Play Store. You can grab it from the link down below. How many of you have heard of theScore before this post? Let us know in the comments below.
