Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 Wins Photo Shootout from Polish Tech Site

Samsung might have just released the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, but that doesn’t mean that the Galaxy Note 4 isn’t still a great smartphone, far from it. In fact, Polish site, Teleguru, recently took it along with a number of other smartphones to Morocco for a grueling shootout, and it came out on top. It’s not surprising that the Galaxy Note 4 took the crown in terms of performance and display tech, after all it’s a newer device than many others from 2014, but the results in the photography tests from Teleguru are very interesting. We won’t bore with all the details, after all this is something for our Polish readers, so go ahead and take a look at Teleguru’s test here.

Lava Iris X1 Beats Launched in India with a Class K Amplifier

As you can see from the image above, this is clearly a smartphone designed for those that love their music. It also looks a lot like, shall we say, an older iPhone? Either way, this is an interesting device as it houses a Class K amplifier under-the-hood that should really help bring people’s music alive. Aside from that, we’re looking at a 5-inch 854 x 480 display along with a 1.2 Ghz CPU and 1GB of RAM. There’s 8GB of expandable storage for all your tunes and there’s a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera for recording concerts. This doesn’t sound an exciting smartphone, but considering it costs just RS 6,552 we can’t expect too much. Besides, there’s two months of free music downloads from Hungama included as well.

Three UK to Be Exclusive Network for Honor 6 Plus

Many of you will know of the Honor brand, a Huawei spinoff that aims to deliver the best mix of specs and features with price, but many of you will also know that they’re difficult to get hold of outside of China. For those in the UK however, that’s to change. Three UK will become the exclusive network to carry the Honor 6 Plus, and we’re sure people in the UK will be happy for the extra choice. We reviewed the Honor 6 Plus here, and you can read more about it coming to Three here.

Xiaomishop Changes Name to Honorbuy

Those of you who like to import devices from Chinese manufacturers throughout Europe will be familiar with Xiaomishop. Well, after a disagreement with Xiaomi themselves – with a little bit of patent litigation from Ericsson thrown in – they’ve chosen to change their name to Honorbuy. Their new URL is honorbuy.com and you can indeed still get Xiaomi devices from EU stock and they’ve even added some new devices, too. It’s sad to see that they stole Best Buy’s logo, but we suppose they didn’t have the time to think of anything more original. Either way, you can read more about it here.
