Huawei's Honor 4X Now Available In The UK Through Amazon With Listed Shipping As April 17th

Huawei’s attempt to further branch into markets outside Asia and in particular, the European market, is well under way. One of the devices they are hoping will sell well in Europe is their sub-brand, Honor’s 4X smartphone. The Honor 4X was first launched in China back in December. Following which, last month at MWC, Huawei made the announcement that the Honor 4X would both be making its way to European shores (and stores) and priced somewhere in the €200 region. In terms of when, the date was simply noted as ‘coming soon’.

Well, yesterday a new and interesting promotional video popped up on YouTube which looked to highlight the Honor 4X. With a new promotional video available, you may have suspected that the device was soon to be released in Europe. It now seems that would have been a good bet, as the Honor 4X has now become available in the UK. That is, through Amazon UK. The device is currently listed as in ‘pre-order’ status. However, the shipping and release date for the device is listed as April 17th, which is only a couple of days away. Therefore, if you are in the UK and were interested in trying the device, then it looks like the time has arrived.

In terms of price, Amazon are listing the Honor 4X for £144.99, which almost exactly equates to the previously expected €200 ($214) marker. In terms of what you get for that low price, here is a quick spec recap. The Huawei 4X comes with 5.5 inch HD display. Inside, the Honor 4X comes equipped with 2GB RAM and powered by Huawei’s 64-bit Kirin 620 Octa-core processor. In terms of cameras, the devices offers a 13-megapixel rear shooter, along with a 5-megapixel front-facing option. The Honor 4X is a little light on internal storage with only 8GB offered. However, it does come with a MicroSD card slot offering a further 32GB to play with. Additional features on offer include a 3,000 mAh battery and dual-SIM support. The Honor 4X is listed as running on Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box, with Honor’s EMUI on top. Although it is worth noting, that it has been confirmed that the 4X will be updated to Android 5.0 (Lollipop) soon. So if you are after a budget-priced Lollipop device, then this might be a decent option to go for. The source link below will take you over to the Amazon UK listing if you are interested.
