UK’s Carphone Warehouse has started accepting pre-orders for the LG G4 with a number of tariff schemes on offer, starting from £35 monthly with no initial down payment on Vodafone. The first four hundred customers to pre-order the device on ‘pay monthly’ and ‘pay monthly upgrade’ schemes will each get an LG P7 Music Flow Bluetooth speaker worth £129 for free with their phone. Delivery will commence from May 28th onwards. Major UK carriers like O2, Vodafone and EE are all carrying the device on their networks and monthly contracts start from £35. Carphone Warehouse is so far offering an exclusive black leather-clad version of the smartphone, along with brown and grey colored options as well.
As for the available plans listed on Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone is offering unlimited talk and texts with 2 GB of 4G data for £40 per month on a 2-year contract with no upfront payment. Whereas with an initial payment of £39.99, EE is offering consumers unlimited talk and texts with 5 GB of 4G data for only £37 per month on a 2-year contract. O2 meanwhile, is offering unlimited talk and texts and 3GB of 4G data for £36 a month and £19.99 down payment. There are 21 plans listed in all, with maximum data offered going up to as much as 20 GB on Vodafone. That particular plan comes with unlimited talk and texts for £56 per month without a down payment, on a 24-month contract. Carphone Warehouse however, does not list the pricing for an unlocked SIM-free version of the device unlike other retailers, Unlocked Mobiles and Handtec, both of whom are charging around £500 for the SIM-free versions of the G4. While Unlocked Mobile says that stocks will arrive by the 25th of May, Handtec’s site does not specify the date of availability of the smartphone.
