More or less every rumor that surfaced was pointing towards the launch of Meizu M1 Note’s successor, but we didn’t know how will the device be called thus far. Some rumors were saying Meizu will name it M1 Note 2, while others were pointing towards the M2 Note naming. Well, ti seems like the latter group was spot on. Meizu has revealed the name of the upcoming ‘Note’ handset via social media, the device will be called ‘M2 Note’. Judging by its predecessor and the leaks thus far, this will be yet another really well-specced mid-ranger which will also be rather affordable.
Meizu M2 Note’s specifications have surfaced on GFXBench recently. The leaked display size seems off, but the rest of the specs might even be spot on. According to that listing, the M2 Note will sport a 4.6-inch 1080p display (you can expect a 5.5-inch panel actually) along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor will reportedly power this handset, and Android 5.1 Lollipop will come pre-installed on the device with Meizu’s Flyme UI on top of it. 13 and 5-megapixel cameras will be located on the back and front of this device, respectively. The Meizu M2 Note will also ship with 2 SIM card slots and will offer 4G LTE connectivity, which was to be expected.
