Meizu M1 Note 2 Leaks, Shows Off A Physical Home Button

Meizu has announced that they’ll hold a press event in Beijing on June 2nd, and we’ll be there to cover it live. The company has also released quite a few teasers regarding that event, and it seems like they’ll be launching several devices on said date. As far as handset launches go, the Meizu M1 Note 2 (or M2 Note, whatever they decide to call it) is almost certainly going to be unveiled. The company’s VP has hinted at a new ‘Note’ handset which will sport a physical home button, which is an indirect confirmation of M1 Note’s successor. Li Nan has also said that the device won’t sport a fingerprint scanner like some rumors have been saying.

That being said, this handset has already leaked a couple of times, though we did see a couple of conflicting leaks. The latest one suggested that the phone will actually resemble the MX4 unit which launched back in September 2014, but we cannot be sure of that. Either way, we have a new leak to share with you today. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see the alleged front side of the M1 Note 2 smartphone, and as you can see, the phone sports an oval physical home button below the display. It is also possible that the device will offer some metal in its build, but we’re still not sure.

Anyhow, according to a number of rumors, the Meizu M1 Note 2 will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of internal storage. The phone will reportedly be powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor and will ship with Android Lollipop pre-installed with Meizu’s Flyme OS on top of Google’s operating system. The camera details weren’t mentioned just yet, but it’s highly likely that this handset will ship with a 13-megapixel snapper. Either way, you can expect it to be really affordable, just like its predecessor. We’ll know more in a couple of days when the company intends to launch this handset, so stay tuned for that, the event is taking place on June 2nd.
