HTC has released quite a few high-end devices in the last couple of months. The company has announced their long awaited One M9 flagship during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona back in March. That announcement was followed by the announcement in China where the company announced the One M9+ and One E9+ handsets. Both of these handsets are high-end offerings by HTC, and by the looks of it, neither of them will leave Asia. The One M9+ features a physical home button, One M9-like build and a Duo Camera on the back, while the One E9+ offers some plastic in its build and sports a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back. That being said, another One M9+ variant popped up in China.
The One M9e was just certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), and it sports an almost identical specs to the One M9+, except it doesn’t sport the Duo Camera setup on the back and it’s made out of plastic, not metal. The One M9e features a 5.2-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 3GB of RAM and an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz (quite probably the same MT6795T SoC which powers on the One M9+). The 20.7-megapixel shooter is available on the back of this device, and the phone will offer 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). The 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera is located on the front side of this device, and the One M9e will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed with HTC’s Sense UI 7.0 on top of Google’s operating system. This device measures 150.9 x 71.9 x 9.7mm and it weighs 155 grams.
As you can see in the provided images, this handset will also sport a physical home button below the display, just like the One M9+. It actually looks like the One M9+, with the exception of the Duo Camera setup on the back, and different materials, of course. According to TENAA, this handset will be available in Gray, Gold and White color options, but we still don’t know when will the company announce it. TENAA certification is one of the last steps before the announcement, so you can expect the company to unveil this thing soon.
