Of late, the update race has taken a much needed change. While many waited for their android 5.x (Lollipop) update to arrive, the forward momentum has now firmly switched to that of Android 5.1. For those, that did not like Android 5.0 when first upgraded or found too many little bugs and annoyances, then this is the update which looks to rectify many of those small to medium issues. As such, for those owners, this is a very much welcomed and waited upon update. Well, if you are the proud owner of one of Samsung’s latest device(s), the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 Edge and are on Sprint, then it looks like the latest version of Android, Android 5.1, is now on its way to you.

Not to mention, there will be a number of the more typical ‘bug fixes’ included as well. Not to mention, with likely some specific Sprint ones included.

In terms of when and as per usual, the update will become available on a staggered basis and as such it could take a couple of days to reach your specific device.
