There are a lot of smartphone manufacturers located in China, and it can be really hard to differentiate. UMi is one of those OEMs who are trying to appeal to consumers in various ways, not only by pricing their devices rather low, but by their design and specs as well. We’ve talked about the UMi EMAX quite recently, the company’s handset which is currently available for pre-order for $159.99. The EMAX is a very solid 5.5-inch mid-range offering by the company, and is available for pre-order from a number of online retailers with which this company has partnered up with. That being said, we’ve just received new info regarding the company’s upcoming smartphone, the UMi Iron. We really don’t have any info regarding its specifications at this moment, but we do have an image to share with you. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll notice the ‘Iron’ branding at the bottom, as well as ‘UMi’ logo in the middle, as well as the camera sensor up top. The dual-LED flash is located next to the camera, and we’re quite probably looking at a dual tone flash here. The volume rocker and power / lock button are located on the left side of this device, and the loudspeaker is also located on the back side of this device.
The provided image is actually black and white, so we can’t exactly see the body of this device as we should, but considering the naming of it, we’ll guess that it will be made out of metal. As previously mentioned, we don’t have any spec info at the moment, but it is possible that this handset will offer more powerful specs than the UMi EMAX, even though that’s just a guess on our part.
