Oukitel is a Chinese smartphone OEM which is working on a range of really interesting smartphones at the moment. This smartphone manufacturer has already released the U10 handset, a very well-specced and yet affordable smartphone. The company plans to release a smartphone with a 10,000mAh battery in the near future, and they’re also working on a dual display smartphone. The Oukitel U6 will be this company’s dual screen smartphone, and we’ve already seen a leaked picture of it. Anyhow, our source has sent us some new image of the device, read on.
This time around we get to look at some real life images and video of this handset, which provide a far better look at the Oukitel U6. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see a number of hands-on images with the Oukitel U6. As you can see, the device sports on-screen buttons, and an E-Ink panel on its back, while you’ll find a regular IPS/AMOLED display up front. The 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display can be found up front, while the E-Ink panel (low power consumption) on the back measures 4.7-inches. This technology is actually quite similar to the Yotaphone devices we’ve seen launched in the past, and Siswoo is also working on something similar at the moment.
Anyhow, these images actually reveal quite a few details about this device it seems. The power button and the SIM tray will be located on the right-hand side of this phone, while you’ll be able to find the volume rocker keys on its left side. The Oukitel U6 will sport a metallic trim it seems, and on the top of the device you’ll notice the 3.5mm headphone jack, and what seems to be an IR blaster (we can’t confirm this yet). The micro USB port, and a loud speaker(s) are located on the bottom of this phone. There are two cutouts for speakers, but we’re still not sure if the device will sport two speakers, or just one. It is possible that the other cutout is actually a microphone or something of the sort.
