If you are tired of having to pay too much money for a decent laptop or desktop computer then you are not alone. In fact, it is this price/spec barrier which has partly led to the rise in the Chromebook market. Running on Chrome OS, Chromebooks offer the user a more affordable route to pick up a decent spec device. If you are looking to join the Chromebook ranks or maybe looking to pick up an additional Chromebook, then here are ten great choices you should consider for July.
10. Lenovo N20p
Lenovo is not exactly the first name that springs to mind when thinking of Chromebooks, but that does not mean their option is not worth a look. The Lenovo N20p is 11.6-inch Chromebook and comes equipped with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and powered by a 2.15 GHz Intel Celeron N2830 processor. This one has dropped a couple more bucks since last month and is now available for only $229.
9. Toshiba Chromebook 2
After its hiatus last month and coming back into the ninth spot this month, is the Toshiba Chromebook 2. This is an extremely popular Chromebook option and with good reason. Sporting 4GB RAM and 16GB internal storage and an Intel Celeron processor clocking at 2.56 GHz. This one is currently on sale for only $259.99.
8. HP Chromebook 14
HP is one of the big hitters when it comes to Chromebooks and their second generation 14-inch Chromebook is one of the more popular options to go for. What it lacks in resolution (compared to some of the others) it does make up for in screen size with its 14-inch display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. Not to mention, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and powered by an NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor. Great option for those looking for a bigger screen without breaking the bank. In fact, this one is currently on sale and one of those ‘see price in cart’ deals so is worth checking out right now.
7. Acer C720 (Intel Core i3 model)
The Acer C720 steps away from many of the other options on this list thanks to the inclusion of the 1.7 GHz Intel Core i3-4005U processor inside. Couple that with 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and an 11.6-inch display and this is not a bad option to go for. It will cost you $319.99 at the moment.
6. Samsung Chromebook 2
Consistent with some of the others on this list, this one is a follow-up device from Samsung’s original Chromebook. The Samsung Chromebook 2 comes in two versions. The first comes with a 13.3-inch display and sports a 1920 x 1080 resolution and powered by a 2.0 GHz Samsung Exynos 5 octa 5800 processor. While the smaller of the two is an 11.6-inch device and comes with a 1366 x 768 resolution and powered by a 1.9 GHz Samsung Exynos 5 octa 5420 processor. Both come with 4GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The 11.6-inch version will currently set you back $299.99 while the 13-inch option is another one on sale at the moment.

5. Acer Chromebook 13
The Acer Chromebook 13 is another Chromebook which comes in two variants although both offer the same 13.3-inch display. As such, the main choice between these two lies in the specs. The more budget option comes equipped with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a 1366 x 768 resolution. The bigger model offers 4GB RAM, 32GB storage and a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Both come equipped with an NVIDIA Tegra K1 Quad Core processor. At the moment, the 4GB model is available at a good price and will only cost you $330.99
4. Haier Chromebook
Generally speaking, Chromebooks are designed to be more affordable. That said, they cannot get much more affordable than the Haier Chromebook. This option comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and powered by a Rockchip RK 3588 processor. Its screen may be small at 11.6-inches, but so is the price which stays solid this month at $149.99
3. Dell Chromebook 11 (Intel Core i3 Model)
Dell’s Chromebook 11 is consistently a popular choice for Chromebook owners and is one of the better selling smaller units. Coming with an 11.6-inch display, 4GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and powered by a 1.7 GHz Intel Core i3 4005U processor. This is a great option for a high powered but portable Chromebook.
2. Chromebook Pixel LS
The Chromebook Pixel LS is likely to be the Chromebook everyone would like to own and if this list was purely based on specs and what a Chromebook could do, then there would be no comparison. However, the one downfall with the Pixel LS is that it will price many out of the market as the starting price for the smaller unit comes in at $999. That said, for $999 (and $1,299 for the more powerful option), you do get a lot of bang for your buck. The smaller one comes with 8GB RAM, 32 GB storage and powered by an Intel i5 processor while the larger option comes with 16GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and powered by an Intel i7 processor. Either option will be super fast but super pricey.
1. Acer Chromebook 15
When it comes to taking into consideration price and specs, the Acer Chromebook 15 being one of the best Chromebooks you can buy and remains in the top position. Available in multiple different variants, the Chromebook 15 has most of the market’s needs covered. There is a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage option while there is also a 4GB RAM option, which is offered in either a 16GB or 32GB internal storage variant. All variants come boasting the same large 15.6-inch display and powered by a 1.5 GHz Intel Celeron Dual-Core 3205U processor. This month, the Acer Chromebook 15 prices are starting from $219.99.
