Google App Update Brings Voice Dictation Delete Button

Google updates are one of the most regular aspects that you are likely to encounter with an android device. This is partly due to the number of Google apps which come pre-installed on a device these days. But also partly thanks to the regularity in which the Search giant pushes out updates. It is at least on a weekly basis when at least one of the Google apps sees an update rolling through. While most of the time, the changes are small and sometimes difficult to note, they do bundle together over time to offer the user a richer experience overall. Well, if you are running the latest version of the Google app then you might have noticed a change that has taken place since the last update.

The version in question is the 4.9 version of the Google app and the change in question is one to the way in which the voice activation feature for the keyboard works. For Those who do not use the feature so often, this is the dictation ability when you open the keyboard. You can click on the small mic icon and it allows you to speak out whatever you want to type instead of actually having to type it. Well, although the change is small, it is likely to be one which markedly improves the experience as a whole, as the dictation feature now includes a delete button.

The update for the app has been doing the rolling out rounds for awhile now, so chances are, if you have already since the update arrive (and use the dictation feature) then you will probably already know that it is there and live. For those who have yet to see the update arrive, you can always sideload the update for yourself. To do so, hit the link below, download the update and install it manually and you should see the new delete button included. Alternatively, hold on and it will eventually reach your device organically. Either way and in the meantime, you can see the newly included delete button (compared to its absence before the update) in the images below.
