With the fall approaching and a ton of devices scheduled to arrive, the smartphone world is awash with rumors and speculation about a whole host of devices. In fact, Motorola are causing quite a stir as their launch event is scheduled for next week and it is largely expected that devices like the Moto X and Moto G 2015 editions will both be in attendance. As such, the last few weeks have seen many rumors circulating and especially for the budget-range Moto G. Leaked images of the device have been doing the rounds and it was even spotted in a number of hands-on images not too long ago. Not to mention, the almost guaranteed confirmation of the use of Moto Maker and the numerous customization options which will be available.
Well, the latest Moto G 3rd Gen news is now coming in and this one is a big one, as it refers to the price. This has long been one of the aspects which is set to be a defining feature for the Moto G 2015. As, regardless of what specs come within the device and regardless of how it looks or what it does, if the price is not right then it would have a hard time within that budget price bracket. In terms of the price, a leaked image has now appeared online which is said to be the pricing of the Moto G on U.S. Cellular.
As such, according to U.S. Cellular, the Moto G 2015 will be priced for $179.99. Which is bang on the money when it comes to the price that the 2014 edition launched for last year (and incidently, the first generation Moto G too). For many consumers, if this price holds out then it will be a bargain as most of the other upgraded lines have came with an upgraded price. Therefore, if Motorola can hold the price point on the Moto G 2015 but with the rumored 5-inch display, 2GB RAM, 8 and 16GB storage options and 4G LTE support, then this will be a great device to go for. Of course, there have been rumors that the 8GB option might come sporting 1GB RAM and presumably some other lesser specs and as such, it is not clear if this will be the price of a possible 1GB version. Either way though, it does not look like it will launch any higher than it did last year, which is surely good news.
