Today is going to be quite a big day for the OnePlus masses, as today will see the launch event finally take place for the highly anticipated and speculated upon OnePlus 2. In the run up to today, the OnePlus 2 has been a widely covered device with a number of the specs already being confirmed, including 4GB RAM, a Snapdragon 810 processor, Type-C USB port and a fingerprint scanner. Some other specs have largely been confirmed which include dual-SIM and a 13-megapixel rear camera. Well, towards the end of last week, saw the speculation around the device take a complete new turn when images of the device popped up on TENAA, China’s version of the FCC.
Since those images appeared, many have debated the look of the new device and whether it is enough of a change from the predecessor. It seems some even were hoping that those images were not real. Either way and whichever side of the fence you sit on, it does seem that those were the pics of the OnePlus 2 and to further add to the authenticity, some newer images of the OnePlus 2 in the wild were reported this morning and now it appears that more leaked images are appearing on an Android Central Forum. The new images come from forum member Chinaleakking and seem to show the OnePlus 2 in very clear detail.
According to the leaker, they have the phone in their hands and are stating that in their opinion, the OnePlus One is a better phone. Mainly due to the appearance of the OnePlus 2 and the software. In fact, the leaker notes that Oxygen OS is not very good at all. The leaker also does further go on to state that the fingerprint scanner works “so so” and the camera OIS works well. In spite of the leaker claiming a hands-on with the device, the images do seem more like promotional images than anything. Either way though, if these are true images, they do offer some of the clearest images of the OnePlus 2 so far. Of course, all of the details including proper and full images of the OnePlus 2 will be fully on offer before the day is out and once the company formally and officially announces the device.
