When it comes the new smartphones, the internet has been awash lately with rumors of up and coming devices. Almost a on a daily basis, there is a Samsung rumor (usually either the Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6 Edge+) related. While only yesterday, saw what seemed to be a very early leaking of specs for the 2016 inbound LG G Flex 3. Well, following in the trend of yesterday’s rumor, today’s 2016 rumor surrounds a Sony device. Not the Sony Xperia Z5 which is already largely rumored, but instead a plus version, the Sony Xperia Z5+.
In terms of the rumor, the Xperia Z5+ will come sporting a 5.7-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. Inside, the Xperia Z5+ will come sporting 4GB RAM and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Camera wise, the Xperia Z5+ is rumored to come touting a 20.7-megapixel rear shooter which is coupled with an 8-megapixel front facing option. Additional features on offer include 32GB internal storage as standard and what seems to be an obligatory fingerprint scanner. The leaked specs come from Leaksfly who only a couple of days ago also leaked what was suggested to be the specs for the standard Sony Xperia Z5. These included 3GB RAM and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Not to mention, that rumor suggested a September timeframe for the arrival of the Sony Xperia Z5.
While most of the specs are likely to be what you would expect from a device going forward, it seems the Snapdragon 820 is the defining feature here as the leak goes on to also suggests the Xperia Z5+ will not arrive until March 2016. If this is the case (which incidently was the processor and month rumored for the G Flex 3 yesterday), the delay in the Z5+ reaching the market (compared to the September rumor for the Xperia Z5) is likely to be due to the inclusion of the Snapdragon 820, which is not expected to arrive at the very end of this year. Of course, this is a rumor and as such, details are likely to change or be wrong. However, for now, they seem to be the latest emerging on the Sony and Xperia front
