After numerous leaks, rumors and speculations, Samsung finally launched its new phablet flagships, the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+, last week at its ‘Unpacked’ event in New York City. The Galaxy Note 5 however, will only get a limited release at launch, as reports point out that most of Europe will only get the Galaxy S6 Edge+ for the time being, although the possibility of the Galaxy Note 5 being launched at a later date is not exactly off the table. Common consensus seems to suggest that with the two devices, Samsung has managed to deliver what some reports claim its “most elegant” phablets yet, which should make Samsung fairly optimistic about its chances of scoring big with the duo after having a comparatively lukewarm response to its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones released earlier in the year.
Coming to the whole point of this post, the entire set of six official wallpapers on the Galaxy Note 5 is now available for download thanks to an XDA user who goes by the username Gabri. The wallpapers are in ultra-high definition and come with a 2560 x 2560 pixel resolution. The images are all in png format and come in sizes ranging from about 500 KB at the lower-end to around 3 MB at the higher end. While the images can be seen below in the gallery, all the wallpapers can be downloaded at once from the image link at the end of the article.
Just as a quick refresher for all readers, the Galaxy Note 5 features a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display with a 518 dpi pixel density. The smartphone is powered by an Exynos 7420 processor, which is designed and manufactured in-house by Samsung. The device comes with 4GB of RAM and is currently only available with either 32 GB or 64 GB options, although a 128 GB version may well be available at some stage in the future. Imaging options include the same 16-megapixel rear camera from the Galaxy S6 and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera to shoot selfies with. The Galaxy Note5 also supports wireless charging, sports a fingerprint scanner and runs on Android 5.1.1 out of the box.
