Depending on your needs, there is a smaller 11.6-inch display variant for portability and a larger 13-inch option for those looking for greater real estate. Both come with 4GB RAM and 16GB storage with the other main differences between the two, being the resolution and the processor. The smaller Chromebook comes with a 1366 x 768 resolution and a 1.9 GHz Samsung Exynos 5 octa 5420 processor. While the larger is equipped with a greater 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 2.0 GHz Samsung Exynos 5 octa 5800 processor. 7. HP Chromebook 14

Like the Toshiba Chromebook 2, The HP Chromebook 14 is again, an extremely popular option. This is not surprising as it is one of the more bigger and reliable Chromebooks you will find. The biggest difference here to many of the others is the use of a 14-inch display. While the rest of the specs include 2GB RAM, an NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor and 16GB internal storage. For those looking for a larger Chromebook then this is a good and solid option to go for and currently is available for $269.99.

6. Toshiba Chromebook 2

Maintaining its position as one of the most popular Chromebooks on the market, the Toshiba Chromebook 2 is an excellent choice for those looking for power and affordability. This one comes with a slightly larger 13-inch display which provides a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, there is 4GB RAM, an Intel Celeron processor and 16GB internal storage. 5. Acer C720 (Intel Core i3 model)

Acer routinely have a few Chromebooks available on the list thanks to the number of options they release each year. While the Acer C740 is a newer model, this one, the Acer C720 is a fan favorite for many reasons including the fact that it comes with some really great specs. The biggest differences from the C740 being the increase of storage to 32GB and the employing of an Intel Core i3-4005U processor (clocking at 1.7 GHz). This is a larger model compared to the two previous options and therefore, if you are after a bigger screen then this might be the one to go for. This one is available in two variants with the RAM and storage being the difference. Therefore, you can choose between a 2GB/16GB combo or a 4GB/32GB combo. 3. Dell Chromebook 11 (Intel Core i3 Model)

For those looking for a more familiar brand, than the Dell Chromebook 11 still maintains to be a popular option. This is another Chromebook which offers a powerful but affordable option. The Dell Chromebook 11 comes with an 11.6-inch display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. Inside, it sports 4GB RAM, is powered by a 1.7 GHz Intel Core i3 4005U processor and offers 16GB internal storage. This one has seen a price drop since last month and now can be picked up for $269.99

2. Chromebook Pixel LS

In all honestly, this is the best Chromebook that you can buy. It is Google’s proof of concept Chromebook and as such comes with unrivaled specs. In fact there are two models, one sporting 8GB RAM, 32GB storage and powered by an Intel i5 processor and the other equipped with 16GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and powered by an Intel i7 processor. The problem with these and what consistently keeps them off the top spot is the price. The cheaper one will set you back a cool $999 while the more expensive one will set you back an even cooler $1,299. If you have the money to spend on a Chromebook, then you won’t find better.

Thanks to the heightened cost of the Chromebook Pixel LS, the Acer Chromebook remains the best value Chromebook available at the moment. This one is also the largest on the list and comes sporting a 15.6-inch display and therefore is a great option for those looking for a more desktop oriented option. Another reason why it remains so popular is thanks to the number of variants on offer so you can find the one that suits you best. Those options primarily consist of RAM and storage differences with a 2GB/16GB, 4GB/16GB and a 4GB/32GB combo available. Beyond this, they all come with the same 1.5 GHz Intel Celeron Dual-Core 3205U processor.
