Asus ZenFone Zoom With 4GB Of RAM Will Launch In India Soon

Asus has introduced quite a few of their ‘ZenFone’ handsets in 2015. The company has started the year off by announcing a couple of ZenFone 2 models during CES 2015, including the model with 4GB of RAM on the inside. That handset is still quite popular to date, but Asus has introduced other ZenFone devices which managed to catch the attention of consumers. The Asus ZenFone Zoom is actually a great example. this handset was introduced by Asus last month, and it sports really compelling specs, and camera capabilities.

This handset was announced in China, and Asus has also showcased it yesterday at CES 2016 in Las Vegas. Well, today we have some additional ZenFone Zoom news to share with you, and those of you who live in India will surely appreciate it. The ZenFone Zoom will be available in this Asian country starting this month, we still don’t know how much will it cost, but we will know in the coming days / weeks. The phone is actually priced at $399, so I guess you can count on it being similarly priced in India as well, the price might be slightly higher though, so keep that in mind.

The ZenFone Zoom features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top of it. The phone also packs in 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). This handset is fueled by Intel’s Atom Z3580 or Atom Z3590 SoC, depending on which version you get. These two chips are more or less identical, the first one is clocked at 2.3GHz, while the second one runs at 2.5GHz. Each of these SoCs ship with a PowerVR G6430 GPU for graphics, and a 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, along with Asus’ BoostMaster fast charging tech. The 13-megapixel OIS shooter is available on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. Andriod 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with Asus’ custom skin on top of it.

Now, the 13-megapixel OIS camera is quite probably this handset’s main selling point. This camera is actually equipped with 3X optical zoom, and the lens offers f/2.7-4.8 aperture. You’ll also find Laser Autofocus next to the lens itself, and same can be said for the Real Tone flash. The ZenFone Zoom measures 158.9 x 78.84 x 5-11.95mm, while it weighs 185 grams. Once launched in India, the device will be available in Black and White color options, and you can expect it to launch before the end of this month, as I’ve already mentioned. Stay tuned.
