Asus has announced quite a few ‘ZenFone’ devices in 2015, and the ZenFone Max is one of the latest ones that arrived. The company has kicked the year of by announcing a bunch of ZenFone 2 Android-powered smartphones, one of which sported 4GB of RAM. Anyhow, the ZenFone Max was announced back in August last year during the company’s ZenFestival in the country. The ZenFone Max hasn’t exactly been available straight away, pre-orders have kicked off earlier this month.
Well, those of you who haven’t pre-ordered this smartphone and are still interested in it, you’ll be glad to know that the phone is now available for purchase in the country. Those of you who are interested in getting one of these, you’ll need to visit either Flipkart or Amazon India in order to buy it. The device is priced at Rs. 9,999 ($150) in the country, and it is available in Black and White color options. Keep in mind that Flipkart carries only the Black Color options, while both of these variants are available over at Amazon India. The ZenFone Max is an entry-level or mid-range devices, depending on who you ask. Anyhow, let’s take a look at the specs of this phone, shall we.
The ZenFone Max features a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display with Corning’s Gorilla Glas 4 on top of it. The phone also ships with 2GB of RAM on the inside, and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core SoC clocked at 1.2GHz fuels this smartphone, along with an Adreno 306 GPU for graphics. The 5,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and is one of the main selling points of the ZenFone Max. The 13-megapixel camera can be found on the back of the ZenFone Max, and there’s a 5-megaipxel shooter available up front. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the phone, and Asus’ Zen UI is installed on top of it.
