Moto 360 Sport Now Available Through The Google Store

Despite the Moto 360 Sport being announced last September, it became available to purchase very recently. The fitness-oriented smartwatch can be purchased from Motorola’s official website, Best Buy and Verizon stores in the United States, plus, it is also available in Canada. Now, there is a new option where those interested can buy the Moto 360 Sport, the Google Store. As you may know, Google sells many products including Nexus devices, Android Wear smartwatches (including both generations of the regular version of the Moto 360), Chromecasts and other accessories in this online store, so now they have added Motorola’s recent smartwatch offering. The smartwatch is priced at $299.99 and it ships for free, just like in the other retailer options, but users might want to check out if the smartwatch could be delivered a little sooner at their address. The Moto 360 is available from the Google Store in the United States and Canada, and it is listed in its black color option only while Motorola offers additional band colors including white and orange.

The Moto 360 Sport offers similar functionality to the one on the regular version as it runs on Android Wear, but the design is a little different making it more comfortable to wear for large periods of time. Additionally, the silicone bands are quite durable as the color won’t fade, sweat won’t be absorbed and they integrate some ventilation channels to help wrists stay cool. GPS is integrated this time around, so users can keep track of the distance they’ve walked or ran, as well as their pace and their lap times. Another difference is that the screen remains visible in most lighting conditions thanks to Motorola’s AnyLight hybrid display, when it is used indoors, it works as a regular LCD display and under bright light conditions, it will reflect most of the light to produce sharp and clear images.

There is some fitness-oriented software integrated into this smartwatch such as Moto Body, which is also compatible with third-party apps such as MapMyRun, Under Armour Record and Strava. Moto Body will also track the heart rate measured by the watch and display additional information about their workouts and health.
