Huawei has had a really successful 2015 as far as sales go. The company has managed to sell a ton of devices and increase their profits quite a bit, and they’ve also managed to become world’s third largest smartphone manufacturer. The company’s Huawei Mate 8 flagship phablet, and the Huawei Watch Android Wear-powered smartwatch area quite probably their most notable releases last year, including the Nexus 6P, of course. Huawei has also introduced three P8 devices in 2015, which have been selling quite well too.
That being said, we’ve already seen quite a few Huawei P9 rumors and leaks, and a new leak has just surfaced. The Huawei P9’s alleged design has leaked out, and as you can see in the provided image, the phone might ship with a physical home button below the display, which is certainly not something anyone expected. This design is somewhat sketchy, it just doesn’t seem like something Huawei will release, considering their previous design options, of course. Anyhow, this device sports two rear-facing cameras, while its power / lock and volume rocker physical buttons are placed on the right-hand side of the device’s body. Below these buttons, you’ll notice what seems to be the SIM tray, and the left side of the device is completely free of any ports / buttons. The speaker seems to be placed on the bottom of this phone, and judging by the holes on the speaker itself and the design in general, this phone seems to be made out of metal, at least its frame.
Now, keep in mind that his leak is kinda sketchy, so take it with a grain of salt. That being said, previous rumors have reported that the Huawei P9 might ship with a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM (though one rumor said it will ship with a whopping 6GB of RAM) and a 3,000mAh battery on the inside. Huawei’s Kirin 950 64-bit octa-core processor is said to fuel this smartphone, and a 12-megapixel shooter will allegedly be available on the back of this phone. The Huawei P9 will, almost certainly, going to be made out of metal. This handset, and quite probably its P9 Mini and P9 Max siblings, are expected to launch in March or April this year, though nothing is set in stone just yet.
