Nubia Will Announce The Prague S Handset On January 18

Nubia is ZTE’s subsidiary, and their devices aren’t all that well-known outside of China. This company has, however, participated at CES in Las Vegas earlier this month, and basically announced their arrival to other markets by launching the international nubia.com website. The company has also showcased their devices during the tradeshow, and their Nubia Z9 bezel-less handset managed to get a lot of attention. That being said, the Nubia Z11 has leaked quite a few times thus far, and we do expect it to launch in a couple of months, but before that happens, Nubia has something else to show us, read on.

Nubia has released a new teaser on their official Weibo (Chinese social network) page, and it seems like Nubia Prague S will be released in a couple of days. The teaser says that the event will take place on January 18th, but it doesn’t reveal much more than that. We didn’t really see Prague S model anywhere else until now, which basically means we know nothing of this device yet. Nubia did, however, released the My Prague handset last year, and that was a mid-range offering by the company. So, it is to be expected that the Prague S will also offer mid-range specs, but we’ll see. The My Prague features a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2 / 3GB of RAM and 16 / 32GB of internal storage. This handset is fueled by the Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 2,200mAh battery is also a part of this package.

As you can see, this is a mid-range handset, and it is to be expected that the Prague S will sport an updated specs sheet, but it will still be a mid-range offering. So, based on the My Prague, the Prague S might sport the Snapdragon 616 64-bit octa-core SoC, 2 / 3GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera perhaps. This is only our guess though, so keep that in mind. The Nubia Prague S will quite probably be made out of metal, and we still don’t know how much will it cost. Either way, if any new info leaks, we’ll make sure to let you know. The Nubia Prague S will be announced on January 18th, stay tuned.
